WHAT IS INGENIO.XYZ?
ingenio.xyz is a new online education platform targeting engineers and architects that offers cross-cutting courses to all engineering and architecture areas from the perspective of the applicability of the knowledge and with the essential premise of “understanding is the true superpower”.
WHAT MAKES INGENIO.XYZ DIFFERENT?
ingenio.xyz is characterised by the careful selection of the academic staff (“those who know the most and also best explain. If not, they are not worth it”), the demanding subject selection and the format experimentation.
Online teaching has gone from lecture halls and classrooms, with their defined physical limits, to the same teaching but recorded on video, taking advantage of the benefits of temporal and geographical free access that the Internet gives. We want to go further and experiment on the possibilities of the digital world. The first milestone was the innovative and efficient use of the transparent board, which allows a powerful and enriching interaction of the voice and hand of the instructor. The result? We “sit them by your side”.
ARE YOUR ONLINE COURSES THE TYPICAL REPOSITORY OF DOCS, PPTS, PDFS, ETC.?
NO! Avoiding that is one of the reasons for being part of ingenio.xyz: what we intend is to “sit” the instructor by your side and let them explain the fundamentals of their knowledge “face to face”. We base our teaching method on videos, with a lot of hard work behind them, in which you see a close-up of the instructor’s hand. This is possible thanks to our innovative method and unique technology, the “transparent board”.
WHAT IS THE TRANSPARENT BOARD?
When you want to make yourself clear, do you not take pen and paper and write or draw what you want to explain? Why do teachers have a blackboard? This is exactly what we have taken to the web!
But you won’t see chalk and no one is going to get all dirty… We update the board and take advantage of the capabilities of a completely digital environment. We eliminate everything that doesn’t add content so that you make the most of your time.
In addition, each time the instructor fills a board, we keep it for you on the left margin so that you can remember everything they have explained in just a glimpse.
WHO IS BEHIND INGENIO.XYZ?
ingenio.xyz was created by two engineers who are passionate about engineering and education: Javier Bartolomé and Juan Carlos Arroyo, together with Álvaro Ortiz, a specialist in digital products.
We believe in a new way of understanding and therefore offering engineering education via the Internet. To this effect, we have brought in the most qualified experts in each of the fields we’d like to cover.
Our goal: to combine quality, technology and content to create a library that can be a benchmark in the engineering world.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS CAN I USE?
Generally, payment will be done on the website using debit or credit card (VISA, AMEX or MasterCard). If this is a problem for you and you’d rather pay via bank transfer, then just get in contact with us emailing [email protected] and tell us what course you would like to take and we will indicate the Bank Account you will have to make the transfer to. Payment by bank transfer is only available making a single payment for the full amount of the course.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD?
If you don’t have a credit card or you’d rather pay via bank transfer, then just get in contact with us emailing [email protected] and tell us what course you would like to take and we will indicate the Bank Account you will have to make the transfer to. Payment by bank transfer is only available making a single payment for the full amount of the course.
WILL YOU SEND ME AN INVOICE?
Of course. However, right now is not an automated process. If you need an invoice of the payment, just send an email to [email protected] giving us the billing data (Name, Address and VAT number) and we will send the invoice to you.
CAN I RETURN A COURSE?
Of course. The only condition is that you do it within the first 15 days after the purchase of the course. What we would appreciate (a lot) is that you explained us the reasons for your withdrawal so that we can improve our service. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you will have to inform us of your decision of withdrawing the contract with an unequivocal statement. In order to do that, you can simply send us an email.
Students
CAN I ACCESS A COURSE AS MANY TIMES AS I WANT?
Of course, you can access the videos whenever you want and as many times as you want within the access period specified. The courses don’t have a timetable and are always available. Depending on the option you have chosen you will be able to access the courses for a period of time from 2 months to indefinite access.
WHAT DO THE COURSES HAVE APART FROM VIDEOS?
In our courses, apart from the videos you will be able to monitor your learning thanks to the numerous quizzes in between the videos. Each one of this quizzes has a video where the instructor justifies the answer.
If you still have doubts or queries, below each video there is a Q&A section in which you can ask whatever you want and the instructor will answer as soon as possible (normally less than 48 hours). Bear in mind that most of our teaching staff are actively employed experts that dedicate most of their day to their professional life.
Finally, with the videos, we provide a Student Notebook made of some “pre-notes” that include all the digital boards that the instructor has completed in each lesson, with blank space to take your own notes. Ideally, you could print these and complete them with your own notes while you take the course so that they become your best reference guide for the future.
WILL I OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE WHEN I FINISH THE COURSE?
Yes, once you successfully complete the course, we will send you a totally digital certificate of achievement with blockchain technology accrediting that you have taken the course.
ARE THEY OFFICIAL COURSES? CAN I GET UNIVERSITY CREDITS?
No, at least not for now. Some of the courses are made in cooperation with universities (like the course on Gross Numbers with ETSICCP in Madrid), but issuing official titles is not our goal.
Giving you a title is not what drives us, what truly does is helping you UNDERSTAND engineering and from there get all that you can out of it. That is something a title doesn’t necessarily give you, right?
WHAT DOES BEING AN AFFILIATE MEAN?
